OUR MONASTERY SHOP

Our traditional monastic products, such as Chiemsee herbal liquors, gingerbread and marzipan are particularly popular with almost all visitors.

The book section offers a wide selection of literature, ranging from theology, liturgy, religious education, spirituality and meditation to counselling and holiday entertainment. Books on history, art and the local area are very popular. Parents or grandparents value our wide selection of children’s bibles, children’s prayer books, painting, games and non-fiction books, picture books and young people’s literature.

We have picture postcards, art and greetings cards for various occasions, boxes of cards, prints and a wide range of calendars. Music lovers will find a special selection of CDs: Gregorian and Byzantine chant, Bavarian and classical music, meditation and relaxation, folk music and children’s CDs. 

The shop also offers a varied selection of wooden, bronze, pewter and glass crucifixes, gold and silver necklace crucifixes, a broad selection of beeswax candles, candles for special occasions – including ones designed to your personal specification – with appropriate candle holders; hand painted and printed  icons; various types of incense and incense holders. 

Collectors will find pewter pictures, rosaries ( some with semi-precious stones), medallions, votive offerings in silver and pewter, as well as selected wood carvings, stickers or verre églomisé pictures. We also stock beautiful garden ornaments.
